Welcome to HomeLink training for parking barriers.
- Before programming HomeLink, make sure that people and objects are out of the way, and park your vehicle near your parking barrier.
- We recommend getting a new battery for your parking barrier remote for more accurate programming.
- In the top left corner of your center display, press the HomeLink house icon, and then select HomeLink settings from the dropdown.
- Select “Add new HomeLink.”
- Enter a name for your HomeLink button (for this training, we used “Up” or “Lock” for our name), and press “Create HomeLink.”
- On the next screen, read and follow the programming instructions, and then press “Start.”
- After initializing, exit your vehicle, stand in front of your vehicle, and point your hand-held parking barrier remote at the Tesla symbol at the front of your vehicle.
- Hold the parking barrier remote 5-7 centimeters away from the Tesla symbol, and press and hold the “Up” or “Lock” button on the parking barrier remote for two seconds, then release, and repeat this press and release process.
- When HomeLink has learned the parking barrier remote signal, the lights on your vehicle will flash. Return to the driver’s seat, read the prompt, and press “Continue.”
- You can test your HomeLink button by pressing it at the top of your display, and after you press “Save,” pressing the HomeLink Icon on your screen will show trained HomeLink buttons, and pressing your named button will now activate that function on your parking barrier.
- Select “Add new HomeLink.”
